During the 2012 season I will be using both white chocolate fondant and dark chocolate fondant.The fondant is made fresh in the studio for each cake. Under the fondant I use a generous amount of Italian meringue buttercream. Just a heads up, I prefer to work with fondant..that is my preferred medium.
Cakes covered in fondant are truly lovely.
If you want a cake iced in buttercream, I will do that but remember that in hot weather, fondant will
that is outdoors or in a nonairconditioned venue.
Fondant covered cakes are between $7.00 and $8.00 per serving depending on the cake and filling.
Delivery outside of Seattle is $75.00 or more depending on the distance. For all the brides and grooms getting married in places which require ferry boat rides..please please please find a great cake maker locally. I will no longer make deliveries that require ferry boats.
You are welcome to use one of our cake plates but a deposit is required. The Clara French deposit is $200.00.
Silver platters and plateaus require a $200.00 deposit.
The glass cake plate deposit is $100.00.
Porcelain cake plates require a $100.00 deposit.
The deposit checks are returned to you upon return of the cake plate or plateau or platter and I require the cake plates returned within 3 days after the wedding. it is advisable to have a designated cake plate person in charge of returning the cake plate if you plan to leave for your honeymoon immediately after your wedding.
The deposit is required because some of the cake plateaus have not made it back to the studio. If our cake plates are damaged then the deposit will cover the replacement cost of the cake plate.

You do not have to have a liquor brushed cake and if you do not wish to have liquor on your cake, just ask, we are happy to accomidate your preference.
Fresh Fruit in your cake:
If you wish to have fresh fruit in your cake, there is an additional charge of $1.00 per serving.
